I found this comment from swampgirl

"A name in black is a moderater or admin, they can have any title they want.
A name in green is a beta tester or site contributor or something, I think they can have any title too... not sure.
A name in red is a normal forum member. Some of them have gained the Favor of the Mods and were gifted with a custom title.
Everyone else follows the "Town Dweller" to "Cervantes" route"

They have added more titles since this was written. I think it used to end at 1500 posts.
